"The most outstanding
pictures of young
Babe Ruth I've ever seen. Incredible!"
-
Dick Bresciani, Vice President Boston Red Sox
Publications and Archives

In
1915, Babe Ruth was a young 20 year-old
rookie playing his first full season in
the majors.
For
the year, he posted a 18-8 record, a 2.44
ERA and completed 16 of 28 starts. He got
29 hits in 92 at bats for .315, with 10
doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, scored 16
runs and had 21 RBIs.
Ruth
pitched for the 1915 Red Sox in 32 games
and played 10 games in the outfield.
During the early years of baseball,
players were required to earn their pay
by playing some games in the field.

."Better
than any pictures in our own collection.
They're completely unique!"

The images displayed here are low-quality,
low-resolution, cropped images.
The actual
limited-edition 11"x14" photo is
hand-printed from the
original 1915 glass-plate negative. The actual
silver-gelatin photographic
detail is incredibly sharp and unequaled in
modern photography.
