Printed by hand directly from the original 1915 glass plate negatives.

Glass-Plate Negatives
The original glass-plate negatives were taken by a professional studio in 1915 (Underwood & Underwood). It is unusual to find 91 year-old negatives unharmed; it is extraordinary to find them in almost perfect condition, still residing in their original envelopes. The clarity and detail of these vintage photos must be seen to be believed. Each image is printed by hand, directly from the original 1915 glass plate negative on museum-quality, acid-free paper. This time consuming process yields outstanding results.

Limited Edition
The 11"x14" silver gelatin prints have been limited to only 1,000 world-wide for Hall of Famer Harry Hooper, Bill Carrigan with Tris Speaker, and John "Zip" Collins. Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb are limited to 5,000 world-wide but will most likely not reach their limit due to the fragile nature of the glass-plate negatives. Each individual print is numbered, imprinted with the Baseball Antiquities Ltd. seal, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, and packaged in its own museum-quality, linen-covered portfolio.

1915 Boston Red Sox Team Set
A very limited edition 1915 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship team set is available, limited to only 1,000 numbered sets world-wide and includes two pictures of Babe Ruth, Harry Hooper, Bill Carrigan and Tris Speaker, and these players: Barry, Thomas, Cady, Wagner, Gardner, Janvrin, Shore and Gregg. This set is packaged in a large museum-quality linen-covered portfolio box. Please inquire about set pricing.

Hall of Fame Special Collection
A HOF matched number set is also available, including two pictures of Ruth, a Ty Cobb, Bill Carrigan and Tris Speaker, and Harry Hooper. Please inquire about set pricing.

Do they come framed?
We do recommend framing these prints and placing them on your wall to enjoy. The portfolio will protect your print until you are ready to frame it, or just keep the print archived for future collectibility. Individual prints do not come framed, however custom framing options are available, please inquire. We also can provide custom portfolio options for quantity purchases.
